Class 1 – Who we are and what we do

Practice details, information about our Practice team and our opening times are all published on our website. This information can be accessed via the About Us page. 

Class 2 – What we spend and how we spend it

The Practice receives money from NHS Wales according to its contract for national General Medical Services in exchange for services provided for patients.

The total income received from the NHS before expenses and running costs was £773,876.00 for the year ending 31 March 2020.

There may be circumstances where material cannot be released because it is confidential or commercial information or the appropriate officer designated for these purposes, under the Act, has taken the view that it may be prejudicial to the conduct of the Practice’s affairs.

If this is the case, we will respond to your FOI request with a formal letter acknowledging the reasons why we are unable to give you this information.

We do not wish to publish our annual salaries, but they are available on request.

Class 3 – What our priorities are and how we are doing

Alongside our GMS priorities, the practice works in tandem with out Neath Cluster partners to:

  • Prevent ill health enabling people to keep themselves well and independent for as long a possible.
  • Develop the range and quality of services that are provided in the community.
  • Ensure services provided by a wide range of health and social care professionals in the community are better coordinated to local needs.
  • Improve communication and information sharing between different health, social care and voluntary sector professionals.
  • Facilitate closer working between community based and hospital services, ensuring that patients receive a smooth and safe transition from hospital services to community based services and vice versa.

The current cluster plan sets out what the practice and the cluster will do between 2018/2021 towards achieving these aims.  Previous cluster plans  are available at http://www.primarycareone.wales.nhs.uk/neath-port-talbot-neath

Inspection reports will be published as and when available. 

Class 4 – How we make decisions

Decision making at the practice is undertaken by the partnership facilitated by the Practice Manager.

Practice meetings occur on a monthly basis.  Meeting minutes can be made available on request, subject to FOI.

Class 5 – Our policies and procedures

Our practice charter is published on our website, however our practice policies and procedures are available on request via the Practice Manager.
